In 2016, John Arnone took over Bubba’s Famous Ice Cream with a mission to honor its rich history while bringing a fresh vision to the beloved brand. Originally from New Jersey, John relocated to Danville, Virginia, where a family connection introduced him to the opportunity to save Bubba’s Famous Ice Cream. At the time, the business had fallen on hard times. And it was even temporarily shut down. A heartfelt loss to the local community. Recognizing the brand’s potential and deep community ties, John stepped in, making improvements while staying true to the core values that made Bubba’s Famous Ice Cream a beloved favorite.

In 2023, John relocated Bubba’s Famous Ice Cream to a larger, more efficient space. Allowing the brand to enhance the customer experience while maintaining its signature treats like the Upside Down Banana Split. Under his leadership, Bubba’s Famous Ice Cream franchise has grown into a thriving business with a loyal customer base and a reputation for quality.
